Training:

Classes will be kept small in size and only open to teenagers and adults. If you do not have a practice uniform (keiko-gi) then just wear loose comfortable clothing, sweats or workout clothes.

The work involves a lot of repetitive solo and paired exercises. There will also be a lot of hands-on, body contact in the training in order to help teach proper movements. The training can be both mentally and physically exhausting in the beginning (not like a hard cardio workout) because we are not accustomed to using our minds and bodies in this manner. The training seeks to accomplish increasingly difficult milestones:

  1. Develop this unique mind-body connection in simple, non-stressful conditions.
  2. Maintain this unique connection as external force is applied to the person.
  3. Maintain this unique connection in increasingly realistic fighting conditions.
